i loved the movie but theres so much hate towards it that its really tiring to even search things on the internet/youtube... most of the hate or issues people have are around luke and snoke, rey parents etc. to be fair i keep reading that luke portrayal was wrong and thats not luke, but they clearly provided the background story to see the current state of luke, rather than just being the way he is just because, THERES AN ACTUAL REASSON but no people love to see luke as the semigod that no matter what happens hes just gonna stay positive, the events that transcended for luke were really painful enough to bring him down thats my opinion about it, he has feelings and hes an emotional character he has shown that during the OT, about snoke i believe we havent seen the last of him at alllllllll but people assume thats the end of it, i doubt it though. Rey parents well i again think this is taking out of context but then again maybe shes just a *nobody* just like anakin was back then, but this time around she was a creation of the force rather than a manipulation threw the force, or we havent been viewing it from the other point of view ala obi wan kenobi way, we may have been told something but its not entirely true or not from the right point of view.
be patient and enjoy the movie if you gonna see it again, which i will cause i loved it.

I don't believe Rey's parents are random Jakku trash. I believe Kylo was lying, and the fact that everyone believes it is quite frightening. From my point of view, there are too many similarities between Rey and Kylo's relationship and Luke and Leia's. I believe that Kylo and Rey are brother an sister. That's my theory at least. I didn't mind Luke's portrayal, except for the fact that it seemed like they were trying to make him like Yoda in ESB. I really wish they didn't kill him off. Also, there were no major lighsaber battles which left me very disappointed. The fight with Kylo and Rey working together was cool and all, but it just didn't feel like Star Wars. Even the final scene in Rogue One, I think was better.

episode 9 will bring more things, and without a doubt saber duels, and even answer more questions and bring back characters that people think they are gone haha.. i dont see how luke was like yoda in ep5 when he clearly did so much more than him. i hope rey gets a staff saber it suits her and ILL LOVE THAT.

Already left my thoughts in discord.
Better than Episode VII, but still a bad movie. Lots of eye candy, but it's a script filled with cliches, the new characters are still dull and uninteresting, the subplot with Rose was boring and unnecessary, and the kiss scene was so stupid and generic. Some parts of the movie were indeed good, but in my opinion, it's not enough to make up for 2 hours and 20 minutes of a slow plot and cliches. I did like the portrayal of Luke.
Call this "hating", but it's criticizing, but hey some people love to discard other's opinions. I've seen a lot of movies so I don't like watching cliche fest.
I've been a fan since a kid and this doesn't feel like Star Wars anymore
